For more than 25 years, JPC and I co-owned the James Perter Cost Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

The gallery was essentially sold out most of that time.  In the sixties and through the eighties, in an effort to keep the gallery supplied, we published reproductions—Serigraphs, Stone lithos, a Collotype, and posters of JP’s work.

In June of 1969 and May of 1972,  originals by James Peter Cost were published on the covers of Reader’s Digest. Several other Cost originals were published on the covers of various California magazines.

In 1971, JP had his first Museum One-Man Show at the R.W. Norton Gallery in Shreveport, LA.  Since that time collectors have donated their collection of paintings to the Monterey County Museum of Art, Monterey, CA and the Museum collection at Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, TX.  In addition Cost’s work can be found at President Ronald Reagan’s Young American’s Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA.

JP’s work is still being resold from our website.  For general information and further details, please visit the Press, Restoration, and Order pages on this website.
